When the founder of Orlando O Spencer I Inc. decided to form the company, he had been doing business for over two decades. Originally from Jamaica, Orlando came over to the States, enlisted in the Navy, and fell in love with flight. Flight always had huge real estate in his heart. However, it wasn’t until after other business ventures, he decided to face the problems of the industry he loved dearly, head-on.

Previously, Orlando O Spencer I, Inc. was a company all about helping. Helping startups get into business, and be successful in that journey. We worked closely with these businesses to determine their “why”. In their “why”, we discovered exactly what, how, who, and when this venture could find its place in the market.

With that said, Orlando knew this was what he had to do; he had to fix the rigidity of aviation training, and more broadly the industry as a whole. Institutions are in the dreaded “eat now, starve later” because the products are undifferentiated, due to the inflexibility in management solutions. Therefore, institutions compete on price. Since price is the only competitive variable in their power, institutions become less profitable, leading to lapses in safety.

While I know it will not be easy – and sometimes seemingly impossible – to offer the latter the same as the former is currently given, I will start this movement, this journey, to ensure that all I do begins first and foremost with the latter. With a greater level of stability, we will have the room to find ways to make flight more environmentally friendly, or economical. The stability would also lead to other positive externalities, such as more jobs.

Orlando O Spencer I, Inc. is composed of hard working people who’s end goal is to increase the greater good of our community locally, as well as globally. We do this by implementing technology in a strategic way that will allow you to decide the competitive advantage, and not the other way around.

A MESSAGE FROM THE FOUNDER

I believe that in all parts of life, more attention is always paid to the larger persons, groups, organizations, and firms, and very little is paid to the smaller. I believe this is so because more benefits can be readily accrued from the former and thus the latter is left to fend for themselves. I believe it is my life calling to say, to heck with that older way of thinking and being, and commit my entire being to a newer approach, to see that those not afforded their fair share of opportunities are given them. I see it as my life calling to see to it that the former have all the things afforded to them that are afforded to others of greater power and position. While I know it will not be easy – and sometimes seemingly impossible – to offer the latter the same as the former is currently given, I will start this movement, this journey, to ensure that all I do begins first and foremost with the latter. Therefore, I now dedicate my life to the serving of those overlooked and provide that which is due to them.
